The Castle Mound Campsite 50% Club

As supporters of Castle Mound Campsite are aware, we are constantly seeking ways to raise funds for the campsite so that we can provide a place for residential events for Young People to experience. 

What is the 50% Club and how does it work? 

It is a mini lottery with a very favourable chance of a win. Under 50% Club rules, a generous 50% (at least) of all profit is paid out as prize money and there is no limit to the number of times you can win. The other 50% of course will go towards the upkeep and improvement of facilities at Castle Mound Campsite. 

For an investment of only £12.00 per annum you will be given a number which will be entered into a series of 12 monthly draws. At each draw there will be at least 3 prize winners. The more members we have, the more we can pay in prizes. There is no limit on the numbers that can be applied for and we welcome grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends too! The odds after all are much better than the lottery. 

How are the draws organised? 

There are 12 draws each year

Can I have my favourite numbers? 

We will try and give you the numbers you have chosen, but it will be on a first come basis, and if already allocated you will be given alternative numbers at random

Payment can be via cheque or standing order. Details will be on the form that we send you.

What is involved? 

We are always looking for volunteers to help on our work days. These are scheduled about 3 times per year. We need plenty of help with tasks such as cleaning, pruning bushes, cleaning the stream, strimming grass and nettles. 

Is there an ongoing commitment? 

No! By signing up we will send you an email when a work session is going to take place. If you can come that is great, but there is no obligation to turn up on any particular occasion.

Can I use this for Service towards an award (such as Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme)?

Yes. We have previously had longer term volunteers doing maintenance work at the campsite. Please contact us to discuss.
